That’s the question from Geoffrey O’Brien, of the Newport Pagnell and Olney Lions Club. He is the happy organiser of three new events being held in Newport Pagnell.
“I am very, very pleased with the support that has been received for our new events in the town. Two of the three events, to be held in the URC Church Hall, in the High Street, are already fully booked.
“Our gifts, goodies and crafts fair, to be held this Saturday July 20th, really has a good mix of local people exhibiting. I am amazed at the talented folk producing silver or gold jewellery,
working in wood or creating wonderful cakes and pastries. Combine that with traders offering fragrances, glassware and unusual home accessories
and gifts, and visitors to the show will not be disappointed.
“There will be no entry fee to the public and we welcome all the family, one and all. Opening times are between 10.00a.m. and 4.00p.m.
“The Newport Pagnell and Olney Lions Club has a membership of 17 vigorous gentlemen and two youthful ladies. More members or “Friends” are always welcome. Many folk will have seen us helping out at the Carnival, manning the entry points. In the last 12 months the Club raised in excess of £18,000 for good causes at home and abroad. We aim to better that in 2013.
