Dog attacked by another dog – Newport Pagnell
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a dog was attacked by another dog in Newport Pagnell.
Between 12.30pm and 1pm on Wednesday (2/4), a woman was walking her grey Whippet dog off the lead in Castle Meadow, when it began to play with a black Labrador.
The offender came into the meadow with her large black Alsatian dog which the Whippet approached and barked at. A conversation began between the Whippet owner and the Alsatian owner, who allegedly then let her dog off the lead. The Alsatian then attacked the Whippet.
The Whippet had to be euthanised because of the injuries it suffered.
The Alsatian suffered no injuries but was also later euthanaised.
PC Daniel Smith, of Newport Pagnell police station, would like to speak to the two men with the black labrador, who was wearing a pink collar, to get their version of the incident and ask that they contact him via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101
