How Can You Help?

There are a number of different ways in which you can help to support the work of Midshires…

Come along to join in one of our events. Details of the next main event can be found on ourEvents Page along with some information on past events.

Earn us money (with no cost to yourself) when shopping online. Donate items for recycling or for resale - your empty inkjet cartridges or old mobile phones can be used to help us raise much needed funds. Visit our How to Help page to find out more.

Give some of your time to help our Support Team. We are always happy to receive offers of help in running an event or, if you can spare more time and enjoy working as part of a small team, why not join our Support Team? Click here to find out more.

However you would like to help, we thank you for your support.

About Midshires

Established in 1999, Midshires is dedicated to assisting in the search for members of the public who, for whatever reason, have gone missing.

The police carry out initial searches which are often successful in quickly locating the missing person. However, if these fail and the missing person is deemed to be especially vulnerable because of age or illness, or because of the situation or conditions prevailing at the time, then Midshires are likely to be called in to assist with, or lead, the search.

Composed entirely of volunteers, Midshires currently has some thirty members who take an active part in searches, with a small but vital support team who assist in maintenance of equipment, operating the callout process and raising funds.
