This Saturday 30th November is
Newport Pagnell Christmas Lights 2013 Switch on day
This year’s switch on day will be an event of great merriment and community spirit. The high street will be filled to the brim with voluntary and commercial stalls. We will also have activities to keep the children happy as well as a visit by an Eddie Stobart truck for the big children.
The entertainment arena will once again be situated outside the Swan Hotel and the fun and laughter will start at 1pm.We’d also like to thank the MKFMteam for helping us with the sound system this year and for being on hand to help us with the entertainment.
Our spectacular tree is being dedicated to Henry Allen, the young Milton Keynes boy who sadly died of cancer earlier this year. There will be christmas carols sung around the tree from 4pm and its very special lights will be turned on by Henry’s parents.
Following the tree ceremony there will be a parade from the tree to the main arena for the main switch on that will take place at 5pm.
