NORTH CRAWLEY CE SCHOOL CELEBRATES WORLD MILK DAY

Local MP Mark Lancaster recently visited North Crawley CE School to help celebrate World School Milk Day with our children. The entire school of just 27 pupils enjoyed drinking free milk thanks to a government subsidy and the support of one of our school milk providers Cool Milk. North Crawley CE School has already achieved ‘Healthy School’ status; consequently the children were very knowledgeable about the benefits of drinking milk and created some fabulous advertising posters. Headteacher Mrs Kathryn Crompton said, “Each school day our children appreciate a special time together when they break for their milk. In addition to providing important nutrients essential for growth, milk helps refuel bodies and aids concentration levels which impacts positively on our children’s learning and development.”

World School Milk Day was launched in 2000 by the UN with the aim to have all children across the world celebrating school milk on the same day.
