This pub is located on the green park estate in Newport Pagnell. it is a fairly typical local pub situated next to the local shops and doctors. There is a beer garden and right next to that is a play park which was rebuilt in 2010 and now provides lots for kids to do on a warm summer evening whilst Mum & Dad enjoy a relaxing drink. The pub itself has two pool tables as shows sport of large screen TV’s. The food is the standard pub grub. The have a kids menu and theres an ATM in the pub which charges to get cash out or theres a free ATM at the tescos in the local shops.
Last time we visited the staff were very friendly to the people in our party that were in their 40’s but not at all welcoming to the 18 & 19 year olds in our group. Most of whom had citizen cards as ID which this pub does not accept as valid ID. As we were there for a birthday party for one of the 18 year olds we were forced to relocate to another pub in the high street, about a 10 minute walk away. We arrived at the kingfisher about 7:30pm and it was clear from the state of the carpet that they had served a lot of food that evening as there was a fair amount of it on the radiant heat flooring that was still there around 8:30pm when our entire group had arrived and we had to head off.
Overall a pleasant enough pub for those who want a beer in the garden on a warm summer evening whilst your kids play in the park.
